Obligations when selling or leasing a property.
RCDs (safety switches) and smoke alarms can save lives, which is why they are compulsory in all new buildings.
All homes in Western Australia that are leased or sold must contain two RCDs prior to renewal of lease or settlement. The RCDs must provide protection for all lighting and power circuits in the home. One or two mains powered smoke alarms must also be installed, depending on the size and layout of the house.
All leased properties were required to be fitted with RCDs by August 2011 and mains powered smoke alarm(s) by October 2011.
We have discounted package prices on safety switches and smoke alarms. All homes have different requirements in regards to safety switches and smoke alarms and we have set prices to cover every situation.
